Each match takes a small percentage of the pot. Example structure:

Authoritative timing
The server sets deadlines. Late answers don’t count, even if your device lags.
Escrow during matches
Wagers are locked while you play, then settled immediately when the match ends.
Cashout requires KYC
You can play and wager (within limits), but withdrawing requires verification.
State allowlisting can be enforced in multiple ways. In this MVP plan, it’s based on a user-declared state (honor-system) until location verification is added.

Is this real money?+
The product concept includes real-money wagering via coins. The MVP can launch as free/virtual currency first, then enable real money after compliance work.
How do free-response answers work?+
They’re normalized and checked against a canonical answer plus aliases. If the system can’t judge confidently, the question can be voided for both players (MVP approach).
What happens if someone disconnects?+
The concept is disconnect = opponent wins. A small grace window helps avoid accidental forfeits due to brief network drops.
Why require KYC for cashout?+
It reduces fraud and supports a cleaner withdrawal process. Pre-KYC play can still be enabled with limits.
